Mekong Delta Key Economic Zone Trade Fair 2016
Under the framework of National trade promotion program 2016, Mekong Delta Key Economic Zone Trade Fair 2016 takes place from 07th Apr to 12th Apr 2016, in Tran Quang Khai Square, An Hoa Ward, Rach Gia City.
The Fair gathers 326 booths, with 17 Provincial Promotion Centers nationwide and 139 enterprises to exhibit, introduce and sell agricultural and fisheries commodities, food, household goods, consumer goods, fashion, cosmetics, plant protection products, agricultural machinery, products of traditional craft villages, local specialties, destinations and travel tours, etc. This is also an opportunity to present the potentials, strengths, achievements of economic and social development of provinces and cities nationwide, especially in the fields of trade and tourism. This can help to attract investment and links for promotion of trade, tourism, and commercial activities among the provinces, cities and businesses within the area and the region.
Mekong Delta Key Economic Zone Trade Fair 2016 is an activity among the series of opening events of Visit Vietnam Year 2016 – Phu Quoc – Mekong Delta with the theme “Discovering Southern Land” organized by Kien Giang Province. This is a good opportunity for participants to strengthen the experience exchanges, introduce destinations as well as proving their role on connecting, providing and exchanging information, promoting the connection within the zones and among provinces nationwide for tourism development.
Responding to Visit Vietnam Year 2016 and implementing the Ca Mau 2016 Promotion program of Trade, Tourism and Investment, with the guidance from Ca Mau Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ca Mau Province Tourism Information and Promotion Center cooperates with other organizations and enterprises operating in tourism and travel sector in Ca Mau, to participate in the Fair. Ca Mau booth is decorated lively and impressively, presenting potentials of Ca Mau tourism through images of outstandingly natural and cultural tourism resources such as Mui Ca Mau National Park, U Minh Ha National Park, Nghinh Ong Song Doc Festival, Hon Da Bac, etc. Especially, the booth introduces community based ecotourism by local households with typical characteristics of the nation’s southernmost region, which has been developed to become a local appealing tourism products.

In addition to the give-away publications of travel agencies, hotels, restaurants, and tourism destinations of the province, Ca Mau booth also displays local specialties such as U Minh Ha forest honey, branded RUM.CM, which has been honored as an outstanding rural industrial products of Ca Mau province in 2015, mangrove chopsticks, various kinds of dried fish, etc. At the booth, Ca Mau Province Tourism Information and Promotion Center directly consulted, guided and provided useful information about Ca Mau tourist destinations, as well as the typical culture and characteristics of Ca Mau people, with honesty and hospitability, to local and international visitors./.
