Khai Long Beach
Khai Long Beach belongs to Khai Long village, Dat Mui commune, Ngoc Hien district, Ca Mau province. Khai Long has a golden sand of nearly 4km in length. Beach has total area of over 230 hectares and continues to expand to the sea annually. At low tide, sand beach is wider and wider to form sandy beaches winding in the shape of wavy, which looks so very exotic and beautiful.
Khai Long is pristine and spectacular with clean ecological environment, covered by sea – mangrove forest ecosystems. There are various kinds of wild flowers, particularly water morning glory with pink-purple flower like rosa multiflora blooming all year round. The sand dunes on the beach are very fertile, which is a favorable condition to grow melons, oranges, tangerines, bananas, etc with giant fruits; large cabbage and beet trees with large bulbs like those in Da Lat.
Come to Khai Long beach, we will have a chance to enjoy typical seafood such as cerithidea obtusa, cockles, clams and various species of fish, shrimp fished by local people from natural sea. Besides, tourists can also contemplate wonderful natural phenomena. Particularly, standing at a point on mainland, we could see and feel the sun slowly rising in the South China Sea and setting in the West Sea at sunset at a near distance.
