Hong Anh Thu Quan Historic Relic
Hong Anh Thu Quan is located at No. 43, Pham Van Ky street, Ward 2, Ca Mau city. The “Hong Anh Thu Quan” house was built in the early twentieth century under Metaye’s dynasty (French man). It is a 2-storeys building used as restaurants and bedrooms with Asian names. In the early ’20s of the XX century, when the revolutionary movement rose everywhere in Vietnam, the headquarters of Vietnamese Revolutionary Youth League was established here and named Hong Anh Thu Quan. Hong Anh Thu Quan was responsible for propagating Marxism – Leninism to people, especially patriotic youth and adolescents, preparing all favorable conditions for establishment of the Communist Party of Vietnam in Ca Mau. Hong Anh Thu Quan was used to be a bookstore of the League, providing all kinds of advanced books and newspapers, including “Tu ban Luan” by Marx and Engels.
Hong Anh Thu Quan was recognized as National Historic relic by the Ministry of Culture – Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) on August 04th, 1992.
